Martially Marked Remington Transitional Beals to Elliot Percussion Navy Revolver

.36 caliber. 7.375" octagonal barrel. SN: 16003. Blued finish, color casehardened hammer, brass triggerguard, smooth two-piece walnut grips. Single action percussion revolver with solid frame, unfluted six-chambered cylinder without safety notches at the rear, high spur hammer, German silver cone front sight and unmodified Elliot's patent loading lever groove. Two-line barre address with Elliot patent date. "J" sub-inspections on many of the metal parts, a partial script CGC cartouche is present on the left grip. Left grip is pencil numbered to the gun, cylinder is numbered on the rear face but the numbers are not legible. A very nice martial Remington Navy revolver. {ANTIQUE}

Condition
Very good. Bore mostly bright with crisp rifling. Metal with some blue and moderate amounts of flaked loss. Markings clear and crisp. Mechanically functional action. Grips with scattered marks and some wear.
